Having watched the very first episode of “Fierce Cravings”, I must say…it is veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeery intriguing, veeeeeeeeeeeeeeery creepy and veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeery subtly menacing. The premise in itself isn’t of the usual horror ilk, and while the filmic style is reminiscent of “Blair Witch”, “Cloverfield,” “REC” and other ‘found’ footage films, this is different from all those because there is no way to know where it’s course is headed for. The next episode is eagerly awaited with baited breath by me. =)
(Note on the production: The mask of the un-named character is the eeriest mask of any masked character I’ve seen in ANYTHING for a while (i.e. Triangle, Timecrimes, The Strangers), and the Box + its contents – especially the Book of Tears – is extremely well constructed and totally Not Of This World…
So, in short:
“Firece Cravings” is a horror story told in what I think (although I could be wrong, but hey, sue me)is a groundbreaking way, via the PDF scripts, the v-log, the written blog and the Twitter feed, getting the viewer surrounded in the story in a completely believeable (and terrifying) way. If this whole thing sounds like your cup of genre, start watching F.C IMMEDIATELY!
(P.S. I am not an employee, or a close friend who has been bribed into saying all of this. I am a REAL person giving his honest opinion on this story. Scout’s honour. )
I must say thank you and I am very appreciative of your praise. I hope I maintain the standards I have set for Darke Media’s productions and you continue to enjoy them.
